Lamalera Whale Hunting 6 days/5 nights
State : LEMBATA ISLAND
Day 01. Denpasar - Maumere - Larantuka
Arrival at Waioti Airport Maumere, you will be met by our guide,then by ac coach drive direct to Larantuka, east Flores. Dinner at Local restaurant and overnight at Fortuna II hotel.
Day 02. Larantuka - Lewoleba - Lamalera
Morning after breakfast, transfer to the pier of Larantuka and by public motor boat via Waiterang to Lewoleba, the sail takes 90 minutes, enjoy beautiful scenery of tiny island and the mountains on the way, also keep contact with local people. Lunch will be in Lewoleba before continue your trip by 4 wheel drive to Lamalera in the south of lembata island. Dinner and overnight at simple accommodation in lamalera (Bapak Abel guest house)
Day 03. Discover whale hunting
Enjoy your time by walking on the beach before starting your adventure with local boat to find out the sperm whale or other animals ie: dolpins, manta rays, turtle. if you are lucky you will directly seeing how the people catching the whale by using traditional gear.

Day 04. Whale hunting
If you are unlucky at first day, you have to be patient, a good signal is if the people say Baleo.....Baleo.......Baleo....., it means that they see the whales cross at their sea. everybody are busy take their boat to go hunting or the women go to the beach to see their men and wait until they come back. it would a big party on the beach if they catch the whale.
Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Bapak Abel Beding guest house.
Day 05. Lamalera - Lewoleba - Larantuka - Maumere
Early morning, departure from Lamalera to lewoleba, Take afternoon boat to Larantuka then by car to Maumere. Dinner and overnight at Sea world club Hotel waiara maumere.
Day 06. Maumere - Denpasar or discover west of Flores
Morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Denpasar or take our other tours to discover flores island and Komodo Island for Komodo Dragon.
